AusUDID Sandpit Registration

Closed 31 Jan 2023

Opened 22 Jun 2022

Overview

Welcome

You are now on the Australian Unique Device Identification Database (AusUDID) Sandpit registration page.

You can return to the UDI Hub to view other AusUDID information at any time.

Why your views matter

The Sandpit has been developed so users can provide feedback to us on the usability and design of the AusUDID.

Over the next six months we will consider your feedback to refine the AusUDID, so it’s easy and intuitive to use, minimises administrative burden and is fit for purpose for users.

How can you get access to the Sandpit?

The AusUDID Sandpit will be open from 4 July 2022.

Users will be granted access in phases starting from 4 July.

All users will be required to register their interest by completing the AusUDID Sandpit Registration of Interest form (see the 'Register your Interest for AusUDID Sandpit' button below).

If you have registered your interest, you will receive an email on or after 4 July inviting you to finalise creation of your account.

What can you do once you’re in the Sandpit?

If you are a member of the public, you can:

  • Search for any UDI for a device or group of devices
  • Download UDI device data
  • Scan a barcode (or other codes such as a QR code) and see data about that device

If you are a device sponsor or manufacturer, in addition to the services available to the public, you can:

  • Create, amend, delete UDI records one at a time or in bulk
  • ‘Publish’ UDI records for your medical devices
  • Link your new UDI record to the appropriate ARTG inclusion
  • Explore the option of providing data via machine-to-machine interface, or the National Product Catalogue
