Your response - Part C

If you’re a smoker or presently use nicotine containing e-cigarettes how do you view the requirement to see a doctor to get a prescription for nicotine containing e-cigarettes?

Consumer questions
I feel as though it’s double standards, when you can buy cigarettes over the counter as long as you provide identification. The health risks i faced smoking for over 25 yrs, I am so thankful i tried vaping. I am just a normal everday person, and i can tell you the health risks to this proposed change is going to push things into the black market. That will be unregulated and huge risk that we currently dont have.

In your experience, what support would you seek from your doctor to stop smoking?

Consumer questions
I have already tried prescriptions, patches, sprays, gums, nothing worked except for vaping. I would and have talked to my doctor and he just laughed....so there in lies the problem.

Do you support the delegate’s possible inclusion of child resistant closures for nicotine products?

Consumers questions
Yes of course. But i do not support the overall regulations stated. I believe it should stay as it is.

In your opinion, will a requirement for a prescription help reduce uptake of nicotine delivery products such as nicotine e-cigarettes among youth?

Consumer questions
No i dont think so. Where there is a will there is a way. When i was a child, i obtained cigarettes when we weren’t supposed to. The black market will just capitalize on the situation with god knows what as ingredients. Much like the drug black market.
